What extra or "hidden" charges can be incured on a hosting package?

We don't like surprises, either. Our policy is to be up-front about all our charges and restrictions. Here are some items that we hope you take the time to fully understand. If something is not clear, please talk to us and we will do our best to sort it out.

Hosting Plans

The "monthly" prices quoted for our hosting packages are actually based on a one-year term, prepaid. Month-to-month billing is higher.

Extra Storage and Bandwidth Usage

If you get close to either your storage limit or monthly data transfer limit, you will be notified by email. This should give you a chance to either reduce your resource usage or upgrade your hosting package before you reach critical level. If, in extreme traffic situations, you reach your traffic limit before you have a chance to act on it, then your account is automatically placed on termporary suspension so that you will get any surprise bills.

No-charge Extras

We don't charge extra for things your can setup yourself in cPanel, such as extra mail boxes, POP accounts, add-on domains, etc. It is also our policy not to charge for support on any issues directly related to your hosting account features. Technical Support Charges

We reserve the right to charge for support on non-server issues such as installation, configuration or customisation of scripts. You will always be informed in advance if such charges will apply.

Refund Issues

If you cancel before your one-year service term has completed, there are accounting issues. See here for details.

Money Back Guarantee Issues

Money-back guarantees, where applicable, do not include refunding of domain name registrations. However, you are the owner of those domains, so you are free to either park them with us (for free!) or change the DNS pointers to your new service provider.
